From the Pentagon's press service:
A combined Afghan and coalition security force discovered 992 pounds of marijuana in the Panjwa'i district of Afghanistan's Kandahar province today, military officials reported.
The force also found rocket-propelled grenade propellant and three chest rigs.
Yes, but how did they refrain from smoking or selling it? When you think about it, it's a testament to the discipline of the military that the U.S. has spent a decade in the world's opiate breadbasket without developing an appreciable uptick in heroin usage.
Perhaps 992 pounds was what was left after they smoked, sold and stashed all they could?
