Thirty-three days after starting out with A Game of Thrones, I finished A Feast for Crows, the fourth in the 'Song of Ice & Fire' epic, at 2 a.m. on Saturday. I stayed home on the Friday night of a long weekend to finish this book. That is how incredible it is. I hate, hate fantasy. And yet, as Gallileo said, it moves. The nine days until the fifth book is on my Kindle amount to an eternity.
Among the reasons to have faith in the HBO adaptation (yes, we're talking lots of controversial stands today) is the fact that they're selling a House Martell shirt. No one who has watched the show to date without reading the books has any idea why this is awesome. That's committment in merchandising.
Go read. Nothing that has happened in the TV show so far is as amazing as what's about to happen.
